Do you have an allergy to nuts, but still a whole-food high-protein snack bar? Go no further! We’ve got 3 healthy nut-free protein bars – that taste good too!
1. EquiLife Whole Food Nut-Free Protein Bars
First of all, we found EquiLife Whole Food Bars. They come in 4 different flavors and contain 6-7 grams of protein coming mainly from Sacha Inchi seeds. This unique ingredient is neither a nut or a peanut, so it is both paleo and allergy-friendly.
(Flavors are all nut-free and include Cinnamon Apple Crisp, Chocolate Brownie, Sunny Date Delight and Lemon Ginger.)
In addition, the seeds provide a great source of plant-based omega 3. You can even buy Sacha Inchi seeds on their own. They’re not cheap, but some argue that their nutrition qualifies them as a superfood, and if you miss snacking on nuts, this give you a healthy option.

- 6g protein
- 7g fat
- 5 fiber

2. Go Raw Organic Sprouted Seed Bar
Second, Go Raw now makes Organic Sprouted Bars. However, not all are created equal when it comes to protein. Their pumpkin seed version has the most protein coming in at 11 grams (versus 6-7 grams of the other flavors).
I like how these bars have minimal ingredients (Organic Sprouted Pumpkin Seeds, Organic Dates, Organic Sprouted Flaxseed, Organic Raw Agave Nectar, Sea Salt). Plus, the seeds are sprouted and dried rather than baked.
Go Raw Macro Breakdown:
- 18g net carbs
- 11g protein
- 17g fat
- 0 fiber (stated on label, not sure this correct)
- 250 calories
3. Sunflower Butter Paleo Protein Bar:
Third, Julian Bakery makes a Paleo Thin protein bar that derives its protein from egg whites. The Paleo Sun Butter Bar also has a very high amount of fiber (86% DV) and a very low number of net carbs (1 gram). However, it is more processed than the whole food bars than contain seeds.
The organic prebiotic fiber can help aid with digestion for some people, but may cause gas or bloating for others. And if you want an easy way to increase your daily fiber intake, this bar can help.
You definitely get a lot of protein in this bar. Even 1/2 a bar provides a whopping 10 grams of protein – with less fiber and less potential digestion issues.

- 20g protein
- 3g fat
- 23g fiber
