The Nude Paleo Protein Bar?

nude food paleo bars

nude food paleo barsMost likely, if you’re looking for a paleo bar, you want something that is gluten free, soy free and without processed unnatural ingredients. What if you could also get a bar that is:

  • Dairy Free
  • Kosher
  • Raw
  • High in Fiber
  • No Pesticides
  • No Colors Added
  • Vegetarian/Vegan
  • Made in the USA
  • Produced by a Green Company

The you might want to check out Nude Food Bars.

Price and Size:

Even though these bars pack a bunch of benefits, you don’t have to pay more for them than other paleo protein bars. They are well-priced for a small meal sized-bar (between 310 and 350 calories per serving) that is nutrient dense and filling. Some people could even skip breakfast with the Nude Food.

In fact, I think you get a good price deal for the money compared to some other natural snacks. A 12-pack box of 2.5oz bars costs about $33 (and you can save with free shipping). That’s comparable to many other bars on the market, and most do not offer free shipping. Some have half the calorie content.

Protein and Fat:

The amount of protein per bar runs between 8 grams and 10 grams. Not super high, but not bad for a portable snack you can hold in your hand. Good for keeping you satiated and can work as an after-workout alternative if you don’t happen to have a protein shake laying around.

There is, however, a high amount of fat (20 grams+) in each bar. Some people don’t like this, so just be aware. I personally don’t have a problem with it and prefer higher-fat options to lower fat snacks. In fact, I eat a high-fat diet because I end up being full and eating less calories at the end of the day anyway.

The fat is good fat, by the way. It’s mainly from nuts, seeds and coconut flour. It’s all natural, and I guess you could also say it’s nude too.

Sugar

These are not low-carb bars. Their higher fiber content adds to the carb count, but they also contain sweeteners. They are mainly sweetened with either can sugar, dates or date syrup – natural ingredients, but if you want to avoid sugar, you may prefer the PaleoBar or PaleoLife Bar, coming in at 1 gram and 2 grams net carbs per bar.

On the other hand, having healthy sweet “treats” available can come in handy when your sweet tooth tells you it wants a bunch of cookies or some ice cream. Have one of these bars, and you won’t feel like binge-eating on a bunch of processed junk.

Let’s Talk Flavors:

Whether you care if your paleo bars are nude or not, you might be interested in these very intriguing and out-of-the-box flavors. Not boring, that’s for sure.

  • Cherry Vanilla Macadamia
  • Chocolate Hanuman Chai
  • Pineapple Pomegranate Walnut
  • Mocha Coconut Cream
  • Walnut Brownie Mint
  • Peanut Putter Chocolate Chunk

Skout Organic Protein Bar -VS- RXBar

Skout Organic Protein Bar Variety Pack

Do you want to find healthy, organic snack bars that contains a good amount of protein too? The Skout Organic Protein Bar is made from all-natural, organic ingredients, plus it comes in a variety of flavors. Skout Organic Protein Bar Variety Pack

On top of that, each flavor contains minimal ingredients. Therefore, you don’t have to worry about a long list of non-necessary, processed ingredients.

Skout Energy Bar Ingredients Compared to RXBars:

Organic Peanut Butter Protein BarFor example, the Peanut Butter bar has only 4 ingredients. (Organic dates, organic peanut butter, pink Himalayan salt and organic virgin coconut oil.)

On the other hand, the Salted Chocolate bars contain 7 ingredients. (Organic dates, organic sunflower seeds, organic sunflower seed powder, organic cocoa, organic pumpkin seeds, pink Himalayan salt and organic chocolate flavor.)

My first thought when I read the ingredient list was, “These seem a lot like the RXBar.” So, I went and compared the two.

First of all, RXBars do not contain organic ingredients. This may or may not matter to you. However, when it comes to peanuts, you may care. According to The Street, “Non-organic peanut butters are high in pesticides as well as fungus. They contain aflatoxin, which is a potential carcinogen”.

RXBar Variety Pack - Minimal Ingredients, Paleo, HealthySecond, I noticed that RXBars have a higher protein content, mainly derived from egg whites. So, if you prefer more protein, you may like the RXBar better. However, if you have an egg allergy or eat a vegan diet, you may prefer the Skout bar better.

Third, Skout organic energy bars cost more. As I write this, a RXBar costs about $1.80 per bar, whereas a Skout Bar costs about $2.50. (That’s if you buy them in a variety pack.)

Of course, it makes sense that the organic version costs more than the non-organic brand. Not to mention, $2.50 is a decent price for an all-organic protein bar.

All that said, both snacks are Paleo approved. Plus, neither brand adds sugar, grains, gluten, etc..

Note: In other words, if you like minimal-ingredient protein bars, both of these companies offer very healthy options. I personally think they provide a nutritious alternative to a breakfast bar, after-dinner desert or satiating movie snack.

Skout Bar Nutrition Breakdown:

In addition to containing all organic ingredients, Skout energy bars have a few other heath benefits that you may not have noticed.

First of all, each bar provides 4g (or 14% DV) of fiber. In my opinion, you get a healthy dose of fiber without getting so much that it disrupts your digestive system.

Secondly, the peanut butter bar in particular contains 30% DV of Niacin, 20% DV of Magnesium and 10% DV of Potassium. WebMD reports that Niacin (Vitamin B3) is great for improving cholesterol, while Magnesium helps normalize blood pressure, build strong bones and can improve sleep.

Keto Protein Bar with Caffeine – Is It a Good Deal?

Keto Protein Bar with Caffeine

Are you looking for a paleo-friendly snack that that satisfies your hunger PLUS gives you a caffeinated boost of energy? The “Eat Your Coffee” protein bar with caffeine is like an all-in-one snack bar that you can take anywhere.

Keto Protein Bar with Caffeine

“Eat Your Coffee” VS Other Caffeine Protein Bars:

Many people want protein bars with caffeine because they want to get rid of hunger and get a jolt of energy. In addition, caffeine can help with clarity and focus, which is great for working or studying.

Almond Mocha Coffee Bar Ingredients & Nutrition LabelHowever, not all caffeinated bars are created equal. For instance, the Coffee Chocolate RXBar has 12 grams of protein but only contains 5mg or caffeine.

Although the RXBar tastes great, has a nice chewy texture and has paleo-approved ingredients, it doesn’t provide enough caffeine to give you a pick-me-up.

On the other hand, you can find lots of caffeine protein bars on the market, but they don’t have paleo-friendly ingredients. For example, the Jimmy Wake It Up Bar has 21 grams of protein, coffee powder plus energy-boosting guarana. However, it contains soy protein isolate and Maltitol, among other not-so-healthy ingredients.

As you can see from the nutrition and ingredient label on the right, Eat Your Coffee Bars contain only natural, healthy ingredients.

The fat and protein combination helps stave off hunger and cravings while simultaneously enhancing your brand power and mood.

Coffee Bar Variety Pack with Peanut Butter Mocha, Fudgy Mocha Latte and Salted Caramel Macchiato FlavorsNote: By the way, Eat Your Coffee comes in a variety of different flavors, all with caffeine. For instance, you can try out a variety pack if you like switching up your coffee flavors in the morning.

This pack includes Fudgy Mocha Latte, Peanut Butter Mocha and Salted Caramel Macchiato. Talk about decadent!

Are These Caffeine Protein Bars Worth the Price?

This Almond Mocha keto bar runs around $2.67 per bar, so it’s not your cheapest option. However, one bar actually costs less than the average Starbucks coffee drink, and it will keep you much more satiated.

Not to mention, the Eat Your Coffee bars contain organic roasted coffee beans as well as green coffee beans. The green coffee bean has several health benefits, due to its chlorogenic acid. For example, it can boost mood and brain function, enhance performance as well as raise metabolism.

Note: In other words, these keto bars offer lots of advantages over other breakfast options, including regular protein bars. It’s like getting a cup of coffee and a snack bar, but only paying for one. Plus, you get better ingredients. =)
